On the 22nd of September, 2016 TQS was awarded a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract to create, document, demonstrate and commercialize a process that produces Mean Cumulative Function (MCF) and Rate of Occurrence of Failure (ROCOF) analyses. This methodology provides a new and improved way to measure and track Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) performance with respect to installed aircraft flying hours, as well as by a calendar date-time line. These analyses provide metrics that are more informative than current methods involving MTBF to track and measure unscheduled removal events for a Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). These analysis plots show important trend analysis metrics that can be adapted to support the WSFS goals of improved efficiency and effectiveness, improved reliability, availability and maintainability, as well as provide better supply support to the Warfighter. These metrics provide added and truthful insight into the reliability of USAF LRU assets in addition to improved ways to track asset performance and changes following significant events such as modifications.
