7 JUNE 2017 – TQS was notified that it has been selected for the award of a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant for its proposal, “Advanced Capacitors for Energy Storage”. The objective of this topic is the development and demonstration of a rechargeable energy storage system that is desired to maintain decreased security manpower requirements through the use of a denial system. The TQS approach is to develop the required energy storage system using Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs). Phase I will establish the feasibility and technical merit of the proposed solution through modeling and design analysis. Contract award is anticipated within 60 days.
