The US Navy awarded to TQS a maintenance and repair support contract for the IFDIS delivered to the US Navy at FRCMA at NAS Oceana VA, FRCW at NAS Lemoore CA and FRCSW at NAS North Island, CA. Technical and maintenance support covers the three (3) TQS IFDIS and associated Test Program Sets (TPSs) developed and delivered under Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts. As the sole source provider of IFDIS to the DoD, TQS is proud to continue to maintain this unique IFDIS avionics testing capability. The IFDIS was initially developed and delivered by TQS in 2008 under the SBIR Program to give the Air Force the ability to detect and isolate intermittent circuit anomalies in high-cost avionics assets, thereby enabling the repair of chassis to improve time-on-wing and reduce sustainment cost. Learning of the Air Force’s success with IFDIS, the Navy contracted with TQS to provide three IFDIS to support its fleet readiness, and now to provide on-going support. The Navy reported that IFDIS tested avionics chassis immediately outperformed the fleet average for operational performance and has often improved test time for the depot repair acceptance testing. TQS has been recognized with multiple awards and accolades for their IFDIS innovation.
