Logistics Technician I (AVCOM)

The Logistics Technician I reports to the Professional Services Division project manager and works under the guidance of the Logistics Technician II - Team Lead.

DUTIES/TASKS:
 Use Microsoft Office® Professional Plus 2010 or newer tools and applications, particularly Excel
 Screen the original Air Force (AF) Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) against the scanned copy of the IPB pages that have been saved in an Excel file. In the Excel copy, identify and correct any discrepancies between the two documents, additionally identify any errors contained in the IPB Quickly and economically assists the BAE Systems Advanced Component Obsolescence Management (AVCOM) production team in the work of data mining, D200F data validation, errata discovery, documentation and correction, preparation of documents for scanning, cleaning and formatting of these documents
 Identify and document any incorrect Bill of Material (BOM) source documents
 Conduct technical reviews of performance specifications, data sheets, technical drawings and other technical data contained in AF data systems, to include the Joint Engineering Data Management Information Control System (JEDMICS) to identify potential needed resolutions
 Assess Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) and Shop Replaceable Unit (SRU) assemblies to identify obsolete and unknown components
 Identify and prioritize parts obsolescence utilizing the DMSMS predictive tool (AVCOM)
 Access and analyze logistics data from approved Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Air Force sources to determine the supportability of obsolete or unknown items in the BOMs provided from the predictive tool
 Perform Technical and Logistical Analysis related to Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
 Incorporate market survey information with the recommendation in order to assess the feasibility and long term supportability of the proposed resolution
 Provide assistance for engineering support related to the analysis of form, fit and function (F3I) of potential resolutions to DMSMS issues
 Pursue logistic resolutions to parts obsolescence
 Assist in the preparation of Problem Part Reports (PPR) and prepare source documentation for the submission of AFTO Form 22s
 Comply with all BAE Systems Safety Policies and Procedures required under the current contract
 Other tasks as required in the support of the DMSMS Tool contract requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
The subcontractor personnel shall have at least two (2) years personal experience with:
 Working knowledge of AF, DoD or DLA data sources: Technical Orders, IPB, JEDMICS drawings, Bills of Material, Parts Lists and other source documents
 Working knowledge of indenturing or configuration management of data to accurately reflect a weapon system
 Demonstrated ability to accurately read and understand technical documents, identify and capture desired information
 Proficient in Microsoft Office® Professional Plus 2010 or newer tools and applications, particularly: Outlook, Word and with demonstrated proficiency in Excel
 Working knowledge of document scanning and file maintenance including OmniPage OCR experience and Adobe Acrobat X Pro experience
 Experience in Data Mining (desirable)
 Familiar with WebFLIS - FEDLOG data and JEDMICS as the basis for source document analysis (desirable)
 Experience in accessing, utilizing, interpreting, and preparing recommended changes to Government owned technical data (including AFTO Form 22) (desirable)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 High school diploma, GED or equivalent (desirable)
 Graduate of military/civilian electronics, any aircraft maintenance fields, or an logistics technical school; experience in similar work, or experience as an AVCOM team member (desirable)

PHYSICAL/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
 Working conditions consist of what is typically found in an office environment. Physical lifting demands are considered light (< 30 lbs.). The work schedule is a 5/4/9, Monday-Friday workweek.

TRAVEL:
 No out of town travel is anticipated

OTHER:
 Must be a US citizen, able to pass a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) and be eligible for a Security Clearance up to SECRET
 Must have strong written and oral communication skills
 Should have high degree of self-motivation and flexibility
 Maintain proper time accountability in the TQS Time Charging System as required by company policy
 Assure work performance adheres to all TQS policies and directives
 Ensure personal integrity in all professional dealings internally or externally to TQS
 Support and perform other duties as assigned by Logistics Technician II - Team Lead
